Step aboard our beautiful 48ft sailing yacht Galaxie, reserved exclusively for one couple, and leave the busy island behind for two unforgettable hours on the Caribbean Sea. No other guests will join you, the yacht and owner-hosted crew are entirely yours for this private sunset experience.

Our departure time follows the seasonal sunset in Curacao: 5:30 PM throughout most of the year and 5:00 PM from November through December, allowing you to experience the most beautiful light of the evening from the water.

As you arrive, you'll be welcomed aboard with Norbert's signature Sundowner Champagne Cocktail, specially created to celebrate Curacao's magical sunsets. Together with carefully selected wines, refreshing drinks and a beautifully presented Caribbean tapas sharing platter, everything is prepared for a relaxed and elegant evening on the water.

Unlike larger party cruises, every experience aboard Maxie Sailing is completely private. Galaxie, your captain and hostess are exclusively reserved for you, allowing you to enjoy genuine hospitality in a peaceful and intimate setting.

We'll cruise through the beautiful Spanish Waters before heading toward the open Caribbean Sea, where the coastline slowly transforms into golden colours as the sun begins its descent. If wind and sea conditions allow, we'll raise the sail and let the wind take over while you relax with your favourite drink in hand.

Rather than following a busy itinerary, this experience is all about slowing down and sunset viewing, with no swimming or snorkeling stop. As the sun begins to set, we remain on the Caribbean Sea to enjoy the changing colors from the water. Watch the sky change from brilliant gold to soft evening colours, enjoy relaxing music and celebrate a special occasion - or simply enjoy one of the most beautiful moments of the day together.

Hosted personally by us, husband-and-wife team Norbert & Hilde, every detail reflects our passion for genuine hospitality. Before moving to Curaçao, we owned a wine business in the Netherlands, and today we bring that same love for carefully selected wines, beautiful food and personal service to every sailing experience.

OUR SAILING STYLE

If wind and sea conditions allow, we’ll raise the genoa and let the wind take over for a peaceful sailing experience. Our sailing style is relaxed and comfortable rather than performance-focused - we’re not looking for maximum speed, excessive heeling or constant tacking, but for the pleasure of letting Galaxie sail while you comfortably enjoy the experience.

Birthdays, (business) anniversaries, honeymoons and other special moments are always welcome aboard Galaxie.

Our yacht is already prepared with the elegant Maxie touches that make your arrival feel special - a beautifully presented Champagne cooler, glassware, a touch of fresh flowers when available and our welcoming onboard setting, all surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and sunset.

We intentionally keep celebrations stylish and natural rather than adding balloons, banners or loose decorations. Curacao's trade winds make these unsuitable aboard and, most importantly, we don't want anything finding its way into our beautiful waters.

Because of the tropical temperatures and outdoor setting, we also don't provide cakes, chocolates or other heat-sensitive treats.

Your Signature Sundowner Champagne Cocktail made with genuine Champagne is already included and additional chilled bottles of French Champagne can be selected during checkout.

Professional photography can be arranged on request, subject to availability and quoted separately. Fresh roses may also be arranged on request, depending on local availability and additional cost.
